O.J. Brigance, a former linebacker and special teams player for the Baltimore Ravens and Miami Dolphins, has passed away at the age of 56. Brigance was a member of the Ravens team that won Super Bowl XXXV in 2000.

Brigance was diagnosed with Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS), also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease, in 2007. Following his diagnosis, he and his wife established the Brigance Brigade Foundation. The foundation is dedicated to supporting individuals and families affected by ALS, providing resources and assistance to those living with the neurodegenerative disease.

Throughout his NFL career, Brigance played for both the Dolphins and the Ravens. His time with the Ravens culminated in a Super Bowl victory following the 2000 season. He concluded his playing career in 2000.
