The 10-day audit maps how AI assistants describe a company, which sources they cite and where their answers are wrong, without promising rankings.
VILNIUS, LITHUANIA, November 4, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Adverum, an independent strategic communications agency founded in Vilnius, Lithuania, in 2004, today launched the Adverum AI Visibility Audit for companies in the United States. The audit tests how generative AI assistants, including ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google AI Overviews, answer questions about a company, its competitors and its category, and identifies the sources those answers rely on.
Generative engine optimization (GEO) is the practice of making accurate information about an organization easier for AI systems to find, understand and cite. Buyers, journalists and job candidates increasingly ask AI assistants for recommendations and background before they visit a company website. Those answers draw heavily on published sources, including news coverage: in Muck Rack’s Generative Pulse study published in May 2026, based on more than 25 million links cited by ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini, journalism accounted for 27% of cited links, while paid and advertorial content accounted for 0.3%.
Adverum treats AI visibility as a reputation question rather than a purely technical one. The audit is built on the agency’s existing communications audit methodology and is delivered remotely by Adverum consultants.
The Adverum AI Visibility Audit includes five parts. First, 30 to 40 buyer-style prompts are run in clean, logged-out sessions, with key prompts repeated and every answer logged with a screenshot. Second, each answer is checked against a verified fact sheet to flag outdated or incorrect statements. Third, a source map shows which publications, directories and platforms AI systems cite for competitors but not for the client. Fourth, a technical review covers robots.txt access for AI search crawlers, structured data, and business listings such as Wikidata. Fifth, the client receives prioritized recommendations and a retest after 90 days using the same prompts.
The audit takes 10 business days and costs between USD 950 and USD 2,450, depending on the number of markets and competitors.
“When a buyer asks an AI assistant which company to trust, the answer is assembled from what journalists, registries and the company itself have published,” said Ieva Naujalytė, Managing Partner at Adverum. “Our audit shows a company what that answer looks like today, where it is wrong and which sources shape it. We do not promise positions in systems nobody controls. We correct the facts and strengthen the sources AI relies on.”
Adverum does not guarantee placement in AI answers and does not create fake reviews, undisclosed paid content or inauthentic encyclopedia edits. Results are reported as dated snapshots, not as statistical measurements, because AI answers change over time.
