Nidec Announces the Receipt of the Investigation Committee’s Report

As announced in the press release titled “Notice Regarding Potential Quality Issues and Establishment of an Investigation Committee Composed of External Experts” dated May 13, 2026, Nidec Corporation (TOKYO: 6594; OTC US: NJDCY) (the “Company” or “we”) established an investigation committee comprised of outside experts (the “Investigation Committee”) and has been conducting an investigation into, among other matters, misconduct by the Company and its group companies, such as changes made to materials, processes, designs, etc. without customer check.

We hereby announce that the Company has received an investigation report from the Investigation Committee today, as described below. We once again sincerely apologize for any concern or inconvenience experienced by our customers, shareholders, investors, and other stakeholders.

1. The investigation report issued by the Investigation Committee

The Company has received an investigation report from the Investigation Committee today. After taking confidentiality measures required to protect the trade secrets of the Nidec Group and our business partners, customer information, individual privacy, and other information, we plan to disclose the report on our website and other platforms on Friday, September 4, 2026.

2. Our future response and preventive measures

The Company takes seriously the findings and suggestions set forth in the investigation report, and will make a company-wide effort to review our quality assurance system, enhance all Nidec employees’ compliance awareness, and prepare and implement effective recurrence-prevention measures. We also plan to disclose these measures on our website and other platforms on Friday, September 4, 2026.
