LONDON, UNITED KINGDOM, October 23, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — SeedMatch Group announced the launch of its agricultural goods marketplace offering, extending its support across the agricultural value chain from project conception and production planning to helping producers sell their goods to international buyers.

The launch forms part of parent organization Global B2B Group’s broader expansion into agricultural and food products. SeedMatch connects its commercial agriculture expertise with the group’s shared marketplace, bringing production development and international produce sourcing into a coordinated approach.

Through SeedMatch Group, growers and investors can structure requirements for greenhouses, orchards, seeds, nursery stock, irrigation, fertigation and post-harvest infrastructure. The marketplace expansion adds a channel for presenting harvested fruit and vegetables to qualified importers, wholesalers, processors and large retailers.

“Our aim is to support producers from the first project concept through to the sale of the goods they produce,” said Anna Morgan, Media and Communications Director at SeedMatch Group. “Connecting these stages helps growers consider buyer requirements earlier, including variety, quality, harvest timing, packaging and destination markets.”

SeedMatch brings expertise in specialty fruits and organic agriculture to this expanded service. Its approach connects crop selection and production requirements with the commercial specifications buyers assess after harvest. For organic produce, sourcing discussions include certification, traceability and documentation appropriate to the intended market.

Avocados illustrate the scale of the opportunity. The OECD–FAO Agricultural Outlook 2026–2035 estimates that global avocado exports grew by 13% in 2025 to approximately 3.3 million tonnes. Annual exports are projected to reach 4.3 million tonnes by 2035, valued at approximately US$11 billion in constant 2023–2025 prices. SeedMatch’s expanded offering connects avocado production projects with international sourcing requirements, including seasonal availability, quality, maturity and organic certification where requested.

Cherries also highlight how new market access can create opportunities for growers. South Africa and China signed a protocol on September 8, 2026, granting South African cherries access to the Chinese market for the first time. South Africa’s Department of Agriculture reported that China imported approximately 586,900 tonnes of cherries worth US$3.3 billion in 2025. Final shipment clearance remained pending as of October 21, according to Reuters, with approval expected by year-end; a November shipment start has not been confirmed.

Through the shared marketplace, buyers submit a structured request identifying the product, specification, volume, destination and delivery schedule. The team reviews the requirements, approaches suitable producers and exporters, and organizes commercial offers for comparison. Producers can present their capabilities and seasonal programmes for consideration against relevant buyer demand.

The wider group marketplace also covers seafood, shrimp, poultry and eggs, connecting SeedMatch’s agriculture focus with the group’s other specialist platforms.

Buyers can submit requirements through the agricultural products sourcing form. Producers, exporters and suppliers can apply through the Global B2B Group partner programme.
