These options evaluate how a patient’s unique genetic profile may influence their response, toxicity risk or optimal dosage across a broad spectrum of therapies. Recent FDA labeling updates recommend DPYD testing prior to administering common fluoropyrimidine therapies1— treatments where nearly 30% of patients experience severe, and sometimes fatal, toxicities2.
