Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation today announced the recipients of 60 scholarships awarded this year. The scholarships support residents across its military, residential and student housing communities as they pursue higher education, technical training and professional qualifications.
This year’s recipients were selected for their academic achievement, leadership, community service and commitment to their future careers. They are pursuing degrees and professional qualifications in fields including healthcare, engineering, education and skilled trades.
“Each year, we are inspired by the determination, resilience, and ambition demonstrated by our scholarship recipients,” said Sean Kent, President, Balfour Beatty Communities Foundation. “Whether they are pursuing a college degree, technical certification, or specialized training, these individuals are taking important steps toward building brighter futures for themselves, their families, and their communities. Supporting educational achievement is paramount to our mission, and we are proud to help remove some barriers and create opportunities for residents to reach their full potential.”
Since 2007, the Foundation’s scholarship program has grown steadily. To date, more than $1.9 million has been awarded to residents pursuing college degrees, technical certifications, and other higher education opportunities.
